Toolbox Percussion, as a creative incubator, works to make new music happen by commissioning, producing, collaborating, professional training, performing, recording, and touring contemporary performances. Toolbox Percussion is delighted to present the 5th Toolbox Percussion International Composition Competition (TPICC) as a part of the Toolbox International Creative Academy (TICA), which will be held during April & July 2023 in Hong Kong and China. TPICC is an annual competition for emerging composers across the globe who share our vision to create percussive arts practices with creativity, originality, and potentials. With the consideration of restricted access to University campus, music studio and other unforeseen situation that limits musicians to create and compose in regular practice during the midst of global recovery, the artistic advisory committee and funder have adjusted the competition to a gateway to a 6-months fellowship programmes - TICA Composer Fellowship, to encourage creativity and continuous cross-platform learning.
