How many people will participate in TICA?
Is it targeting local students?
We are recruiting 30 percussion, string practising musicians and composers worldwide to take part in the week-long festival. Participants came from the United States, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Macau, Guangzhou and Hong Kong.

Is it targeting local students?
We hope to develop an innovative music learning experience for musicians and composers by joining us for a full week of valuable study and professional coaching with international musicians. Early registration for university course is highly advised so as to never miss the amazing programme of TICA.
There will be a time clash with university’s add drop period if i join TICA, what should I do?

Except for private coaching and ensemble coaching sessions, we encourage students of different majors to participate in every instrumental and compositional program.
After all, the objective of TICA is to house people from diverse backgrounds to learn music not of particular form, but of different approaches, genres, instruments.
I am a string major, can I also attend the course for percussionist?

All instrumental or composition programmes' participants are welcome to submit performance proposal (by group or individual) to compete for a chance for premiere at our Toolbox Performance Platform. There is no strict requirement for composers in TICA programme to finish up a composition within the TICA week.
Is it compulsory for composer programme participants to complete a composition at TICA?

Accommodation
Programme fee already includes a double share accommodation for six-day. If you choose not to stay in our designated accommodation, you can apply for a slight reduction in program fee.
If I opt out the accommodation, will the accommodation cost be deducted from program fee?

Fee
Scholarship up to 500 USD will be offered to recruited members of both instrumental and composition programmes. TICA also offers different discounts in collaboration with different universities. Please stay tuned to our promotional school tours by our TICA team.
I find the fee for TICA unaffordable, but I really want to participate in it, what should I do?

The application fee is including the administrative fee of arrange primary election. If the student is not being recruited, the application fee will not be refunded. Once the student has been recruited, he/she will only need to pay the remaining program tuition.
